Second Opinion Evaluation

If you’ve already had a neuropsychological evaluation but left with questions or concerns, a second opinion may be helpful. We offer independent, professional feedback on prior testing—whether you're unsure about the conclusions, want a clearer explanation of the results, or are seeking a more tailored interpretation based on your goals and context.

We review previous reports, test data, and your personal experience with the process. The goal is to provide clarity, identify any potential oversights or alternative explanations, and guide next steps if further assessment or action is needed.

Please Note: Whenever possible, we encourage clients to speak directly with the original evaluator before seeking a second opinion. Many questions can be addressed by the provider who conducted the initial evaluation. Our role is not to replace or undercut other professionals, but to offer an independent perspective when direct communication is not possible or additional clarity is still needed

Who These Evaluations Are For

  • Individuals who have already completed neuropsychological testing but are left with unanswered questions, feel unsure about the conclusions, or are seeking additional clarity.

  • Patients or family members looking for a second perspective before making important medical, academic, or legal decisions.

  • Professionals requesting an independent review of a prior evaluation (with appropriate consent).

We understand that receiving a diagnosis like dementia, mild cognitive impairment, or ADHD can be overwhelming. It is common to want more information, especially when the results may impact your independence, work, or future planning. A second opinion can help confirm what was found, clarify confusing results, or provide a different interpretation based on a full understanding of your history and context.

What To Expect

Review of Prior Records
We carefully examine your previous neuropsychological report and any available test data, score sheets, or supporting documents. This allows us to understand the original evaluation in depth and identify areas that may need clarification.

Clinical Interview
You and your doctor will discuss your concerns, questions, and goals. We’ll also review your experience with the initial evaluation to ensure our feedback is tailored to your unique situation.

Clarification & Additional Testing (if needed)
In some cases, we may recommend limited additional testing to address unanswered questions, confirm findings, or provide more context.

Independent Feedback Report
You will receive a clear, written summary of our impressions, including clarification of prior results, consideration of alternative explanations, and recommendations for next steps. In some cases, this may confirm the original findings; in others, it may provide a different perspective or conclusion.

Pricing

$699-899 (self-pay)

  • Pricing depends on the extent of the evaluation. A second opinion that includes a clinical interview, review of prior data and report, and a written summary with feedback is $699. If additional testing is needed to clarify or supplement the original findings, the total cost may range from $699 to $899, depending on the scope of testing required. All costs will be discussed with you in advance, and no additional work will be completed without your approval.

  • Payment options: CareCredit accepted

Legal and Professional Limitations

Second opinion evaluations are provided for informational and clinical purposes only. While they may be useful in guiding medical, academic, or personal decision-making, these evaluations are not intended for use in legal proceedings, disability claims, or court testimony unless explicitly discussed and agreed upon in advance.

Because services are delivered virtually and across state lines under PSYPACT authorization, in-person testimony, evaluations for litigation, or direct legal consultation are not typically available. If you require a forensic or disability evaluation intended for legal use, we encourage you to seek a provider licensed and physically available in the relevant jurisdiction.

We are happy to clarify the intended use of your evaluation before scheduling to ensure it aligns with what we are able to provide.
